These SK6805 RGBW LED Strips are equipped with the RGBW variants of the SK6805 IC LEDs, and this means that they come with a fourth channel specifically for white, allowing for much better colour accuracy and true white than classic 3-channel LED Strips. This makes it a great all-rounder lighting solution that can cater to vibrant living spaces just as easily as it can accommodate productive work spaces, allowing you to ignore the colours when work mode is activate, and then start up the party once work is over with whatever colours you want. Of course, this extra white channel also helps with colour accuracy and brightness throughout the entire colour gamut, allowing it to shine brightly regardless of which R, G and B channels you’re using, and even if you don’t plan on using the white channel solely without any other colours, the white channel will certainly help you find the precise blues, greens, reds and blends without sacrificing brightness or accuracy.

It looks like any other addressable strip, but instead of 3 channels of color (24 bit), you load in an additional 4th channel for the white for a total of 32 bits per LED. This sort of data load may require careful use on microcontrollers with little RAM (460 LED limit for an Arduino UNO).
