This 30x24 pixel digital LED matrix allows the color and brightness of each LED to be controlled individually. A large number of LEDs can be connected in sequence and controlled using a microcontroller. Each line consists of 30 pixels, and there are 24 parallel lines in a zig-zag pattern on the panel.

These panels can be daisy-chained using the included JST connectors. Each panel features separate power and ground connections, enabling individual power supply.

Operation voltage: DC 5V
LED chip: SK6812 5050, APA102C 5050 optional
Maximum current: 36mA per LED
LED number: 24*30=720 LEDs
LED Pitch: 16.6mm
Dimension(L*H): 50cm*40cm
FPCB color: white

SK6812 is a set of smart control circuit and a light emitting circuit in one of the controlled LED source. Pixels contained within the intelligent digital interface data latch signal shaping amplification circuit, power supply circuit, a built-in constant current circuit, high precision RC oscillator, the output is driven by the patented PWM technology, effectively guarantee the pixels in the color of the light high consistency.

Unlike SK6812, The APA102 led strip has 2 wires for sending data - one clock pinand one data pin. That means you need two pins, not one, to control strip. Because the clock and data is seperated, you can use any processor speed or type to control these strips. You can use any microcontroller or microprocessor, including Arduino, Raspberry Pi, BeagleBone, Propeller, SparkCore, and any 'raw' microcontrollers/microprocessors to control the strips/matrixes. It's very easy to port the library, and you can send data to the pixels at up to 32MHz clock rate!
